I’ve been a fan of Red Stick Spice for years and after attending several cooking classes and browsing their shop, I’m like wait… there’s a lot of cool stuff happening here! …Like A LOT.
Red Stick Spice is located on the corner of Jefferson Hwy and Government Street in Midcity. When you walk in, you’ll find a shop full of spices, tea blends, cooking tools, gadgets, oils and local jellies, honey and more.
Their newly renovated kitchen is to your left. It’s gorgeous. And to your right is their new SoGo Tea Bar.. but more on that below!

1- Private Cooking Classes
Their calendar is full of cooking classes ranging from one pot dinners and simple suppers to Mediterranean small plates and chili and salsa masterclasses. But did you know you could also reserve their teaching kitchen for your own private cooking class? You bring your group and pick your menu. 2- Farm, Food & Cooking Tours
This cooking class goes beyond the kitchen. It’s a day-long food and farm adventure around Baton Rouge. These tours are offered on select Saturdays and include stops at The Red Stick Farmers Market, Iverstine Farms and Fullness Farm.
